Aromatherapy for Health and Wellness
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using the natural healing power of essential oils, derived from various plant sources. The therapeutic value of essential oils is due to the vast numbers of phytochemicals produced by various plants. Science supports the use of essential oils for insomnia, stress reduction, pain, wounds, digestive upsets, respiratory conditions, and skin conditions, among others. Since all essential oils are potent and many are actually toxic, students will learn which oils are safe to use and how to dilute them with specific carrier oils for maximum health benefits. The uses and effects of 12 essential oils will be discussed along with blending techniques, how to purchase, and how to make your own personal use products.

Zumba
Have fun and get fit doing Zumba. Zumba is great for all fitness levels and all ages. Zumba uses Latin music and easy dance routines featuring aerobic and fitness interval training done to a combination of fast and slow rhythms that sculpt the body. It was developed by Colombian fitness trainer Beto Perez who fogot his music for a class and improvised by using the tape he had in his car. He called it “Rumbacize.” Perez brought the style to the United States in 1999 and, with two partners, created Zumba and launched the program worldwide.

New! Professional Reflexology Certificate Course
Our intensive certification workshop covers beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The workshop includes basic physiology and anatomy, particularly related to Reflexology; the holistic approach to Reflexology; dealing with reading the feet and the demonstration and practice of each physiological
system. The study of ethics and practice as they relate to this modality are part of the course. We will deal with the history of Reflexology, and explain how Reflexology works and how to work with clients. We will have class discussions and review of homework and quizzes thoughout. Hands-on technique from the first day. Upon successful completion of the training and workshop requirements, graduates are awarded Certification from The Center and will be fully competent to practice Reflexology. During the course students are required to document a total of 60 Reflexology Sessions, five to seven per week. If, for any reason, this commitment cannot be met, students are required to hand these in as soon as they possibly can. Following the completion of the 4 weeks, students are required to document 100 comprehensive case studies: this is ten case studies for 10 treatments each - - a total of 100 treatments. A thesis dealing with some aspects of Reflexology is also required to complete the course. The student is awarded certification upon completion of all training requirements. Upon receipt of certificate, students are qualified to begin the process for National
Certification through ARCB or RCB. Missed lessons need to be made up and are entirely the responsibility of each student. We try as much as possible, and usually manage to make up missed classes during our course time. If for any reason we cannot facilitate this, the make-up lesson will have to be done after class hours with a makeup fee of $55 per lesson. The limited number of students in each workshop allows for particular emphasis on the practical session to ensure that each student can confidently practice at home between lessons.
Bring the following with you to each class:
1. Short finger nails! A large three ring binder (with big rings).
2. A sheet, 2 pillows & pillowcases (to use during hands-on process).
3. Plenty to drink & a brown bag lunch (local shops have great food, if you prefer).
4. Your own Reflexology chair, by week three.
5. Your own slippers or socks or inside shoes, as outside shoes are off at the door
