AutoCAD is the most popular and widely used drafting program in the world. This software is used by architects, mechanical designers, civil engineers, landscape designers. In this beginner’s course, students will be using the computer as a drafting tool. Learn to draw, edit, put in dimensions and print various types of two-dimensional drawings using AutoCAD 2009. Each topic is presented with a hands-on exercise in order to build comfort and confidence with AutoCAD.

AutoCAD
II
In AutoCAD II, students will learn the more advanced AutoCAD tools and gain greater control over the AutoCAD environment. Create your own template files, draw an office floor plan complete with specific layers, furniture and dimensions. Also learn to use attribute blocks, paper space, viewports and scaling. Each topic and accompanying exercise will sharpen skills and increase productivity. No matter what field of drafting students plan to use AutoCAD for, this course is a must.

Journeyman Plumbing (Code & Theory)
This course consists of 75 hours of the Massachusetts plumbing and gas code review as well as service and troubleshooting plumbing problems in the field. The course meets the requirements toward the 550 classroom hours required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for those who wish to take the Journeyman’s Plumbing and Gas Pipe Fitters’ Exam.
Prerequisite: Must be a registered apprentice prior to September 2008.

Journeyman Plumbing Tier IV
Graduates of a Vocational Technical School with a Plumbing major are eligible to take this course. This course consists of 60 hours of Massachusetts plumbing and gas code. Topics include: introduction to drains, waste and vents, allowable material traps, cleanout code, water supply, math, gas blueprints and definitions. Electrical Code and Theory
Would you like to become a licensed electrician/journeyman? According to the Massachusetts State Board of Electrical Examiners, before you take the licensing exam you must first complete:
• 8,000 hours of employment as a learner or apprentice under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician;
• 600 hours of classroom training in electrical code from an approved school.
Note: You may complete the above two requirements in any order or perform both concurrently.

Basic Surveying Certificate Course
This basic surveying course will prepare the student for an entry-level position as a field land surveyor and for drafting in civil engineerng and Title V projects. This is an exciting and growing career. Students will learn to operate the most recent field equipment and incorporate collected data into the land development desktop software to prepare designs. This basic surveying course will present an overview of current Land Surveying applications and opportunities. Historic surveys in local towns and the nearby Edwards Air Field will be examined and retraced. Students will have the opportunity to examine and operate historic and modern surveying equipment and learn to incorporate collected data into the Land Development desktop software to analyze property lines and prepare maps. Field trips will be frequent depending on weather. Bring a compass and boots for a fun and interesting experience!

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Course
This course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach course completion card within four to six weeks. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts recently passed a law that requires OSHA Outreach training for all employees on publicly funded construction jobs with an estimated value of more than $10,000 – be it new work, renovation, demolition, installation, maintenance, or repair of any public works or building by a public agency.

Preparation for Refrigeration Technician's Exam
This course will cover basic theory principles needed to cover the requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, in order to take the refrigeration technician's exam. Topics will include:
