Course Description:

Electrical Level I will be an introduction to safety on the job, writing a job description, terms of the trade, basic electron theory, a review of math skills, DC Theory, energy and power, electrical conductors and wire sizes, batteries, magnets and magnetic fields. Also covered are generation of electromotive force, basic understanding of motors and generators, introduction into the code book, grounding and practical writing, diagrams and switching. The class concludes with an exam. If students pass they will proceed to Electrical 2.

TIER V PROGRAM IS FOR the Licensed Apprentice Plumber seeking to obtain a Master Plumber License. Tier I, II, III and IV or equivalent or a Journeyman Plumber License required. Pending Enrollment. This code and theory course consists of 55 hours of the Massachusetts plumbing and gas code review as well as service and troubleshooting plumbing problems in the field. If you are currently involved in the field of auto body repair or if you would just like to learn the trade of auto damage appraising, this five week course will give you a jump start to a successful career in the demanding field of Auto Damage Appraising. Now that the Auto Insurance Industry has deregulated in the State of Massachusetts, an increase number of Auto Insurers are now entering the State and there is a need for qualified licensed auto appraisers in both the Auto Body Repair and Insurance fields. This course is designed to properly prepare you to gain the knowledge of auto insurance and state regulations while attaining the essential learning tools needed to write auto damage appraisals. Each successful student will receive a certificate from this course which is an approved course by the Auto Damage Appraiser Licensing Board. In addition to this course, the student will need to complete a three-month apprenticeship with a licensed Massachusetts Auto Appraiser in order to apply and qualify to take the Massachusetts Auto Appraiser Exam.
