New! Introduction to Reflexology
Reflex points in the feet mirror every major organ and function of the human body. Applying pressure to these points with thumb and finger walking techniques, allows the body to respond by relaxing. Reflexology reduces stress, tension and anxiety, improves blood and lymphatic flow and enhances the immune system. As a result, regular reflexology sessions will encourage the body to embrace self-healing. This is a four hour class created by the New England Institute of Reflexology and Universal Studies (NEIRUS) to learn the 20-minute reflexology mini-session. Health care professionals-nurses, CNA’s, hospice caregivers and massage therapists use the technique to enhance their wonderful work. Non-professionals learn the mini session to help a friend or family member relax. Do you have a teen dealing with PMS or stress? Is someone you care about bedridden or feeling overwhelmed with worrisome medical issues? Does the baby cry and cry? This class is also an excellent way to help you decide whether you’d like to become a professional reflexologist! There will be a lecture with handouts and students will practice giving and receiving the 20-minute reflexology mini-session. Come to this nontechnical class and learn how the feet mirror the major organs and
functions of the entire body! It’s fun and no previous experience is necessary!
