New! Introduction to the
Human Energy System and Energy Therapies
Human beings are so much more than physical bodies, i.e., what
they can see, taste, touch, feel and hear. Each is composed of
an incredible human energy system, integrated with our surroundings
in ways beyond comprehension. There is a flow of universal energy
feeding us, directing us, keeping us whole on many levels. Energy
therapies use hands-on, energy-based techniques to balance and
align the energy field, facilitating an opportunity for rebalancing
that which may not be in true alignment with your highest purpose.
All healing is self-healing. As the physician may direct the physical
process of mending a broken bone, for example, the energy worker
assists in re-aligning the energy flow, facilitating the release
of blockages to healing and the restoration of balance and harmony
to the body, mind, and spirit. Benefits include: stress management
and relaxation, pain management, self awareness, an enhanced state
of well-being, health maintenance, self-empowerment towards transformation,
restoration of balance, a deepening spiritual connection, enhancement
of recovery from surgery, boosting the immune system, and supporting
medical care (e.g., managment of cancer or diabetes). Come and
learn more about your energy connection and the wonderful world
of energy therapies.

Aromatherapy for Health and Wellness
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using the natural healing
power of essential oils derived from various plant sources. The
therapeutic value of essential oils is due to the vast numbers
of phytochemicals produced by various plants. Science supports
the use of essential oils for insomnia, stress reduction, pain,
wounds, digestive upsets, respiratory conditions, and skin conditions,
among others. Since all essential oils are potent and many are
actually toxic, students will learn which oils are safe to use
and how to dilute them with specific carrier oils for maximum
health benefits. The uses and effects of 12 essential oils will
be discussed, along with blending techniques, how to purchase,
and how to make your own personal use products.

certified in holistic nursing and clinical aromatherapy among

Living Outside the Box: Laugh, Learn,
and Relax
Most of us accept an exorbitant amount of stress in our lives
as normal. Intense stress has almost become the "norm,"
as we live inside the box of expectations (our own and others'.)
People seek relief through various escapes, yet continue to carry
stress wherever we go and whatever we do, limiting our ability
to fully enjoy life. Stress is a known contributor to many dis-ease
states and can also lead to depression, despair, unfulfilling
relationships, and numerous ineffective coping strategies such
as addictions. What if you had skills to challenge the stranglehold
of stress? What if you could learn techniques and attitudes to
start living outside the "stress as a way of life" box?
This workshop will help you live a more centered, peaceful, and
joyful life by suggesting tools and providing alternative coping
strategies. Be prepared to laugh, learn, and relax!

Yoga
What a great way to get and stay fit! Give your body 1.5 hours
to regroup, rejuvenate and relax. This class is for all levels,
abilities and ages. Yoga is an ancient system designed to unify
body, mind and spirit. Through a series of mental and physical
exercises combined with regulated breathing, the body and mind
become more intimately coordinated. The individual's ability to
concentrate is heightened with various mental exercises. Relaxation
is learned through progressions of ordered breathing. Physical
postures are held to develop balance, flexibility and muscle tone.
When mental and physical control is realized, the individual develops
a sound mechanism for dealing with himself/herself and others.
Bring water and a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Discoving Paradise: Know What You Want
Many people are frustrated with some aspect of their lives and
wish that it could be “different”. Maybe they are
stuck in a job that they hate or have a desire to pursue a new
career. It might be a relationship or lack of one that they are
unhappy about. They may not even know what they are looking to
change but know that something has to give. In order to get through
this block they must first figure out what it is that they want
to achieve. Imagine getting a package in the mail that gives you
explicit directions on how to get to “paradise” but
the description of this “paradise” is left out. With
no vision of what ”paradise” looks like, how do they
know when they are there? This workshop will provide you with
a clear direction to discovering what your “paradise”
looks like.
