Number of Class Meetings: 10 weeks; 2 three hour classes per week
The Medical Assistant Clinical course will include hands-on procedures in medical asepsis practices, vital signs, patient examinations, medical laboratory procesures, emergency preparedness for the medical office, assisting with minor surgical procedures, physical rehabilitative assistance, and pharmacology theory and procedures. Theory will be included with each procedure.Completion of 120 hour externship required.

Mandatory Orientation: January 28, 2021 6PM.

*all other required courses including Medical Law & Ethics, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG, and Advanced EKG must be taken IN ADVANCE of the Clinical Medical Assistant course.

**It is recommended that students register for the Medical Assistant National Certification Exam Prep Course if they plan to sit for the National Healthcareers Association Certification.
