This interactive course will equip students with the tools and resources they need to begin writing a successful grant.  Students will learn the mechanics of proposal writing, the political and social aspects of "grantsmanship," and develop skills which identify sources of grant funding, useful research techniques to support their applications, and tailoring their proposals to specific audience. Learn to network and establish relationships with funders. No experience needed, bring your ideas, creativity and passion for a cause and learn how to put together a complete proposal package.  

INSTRUCTOR: Patricia Mitrokostas has more than twenty-five years successful experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and program development with recognized strengths in team building, public relations, grant writing, formulating business and community partnerships. Ms. Mitrokostas spent the last seven years working for Gosnold Treatment Center first as the Director of Prevention, and most recently as the Director of Public Relations & Organizational Advancement. Patricia spent twelve years in job training and education programs on Cape Cod and New Bedford, including serving as the Deputy Director of the City of New Bedford’s job training program, New Directions.
