MACWIC Level 1 will prepare you for the Basic Manufacturing Industry Recognized Skills Certification that will give employers a clear picture of the skills you have to land a position in a manufacturing workplace. Have you ever seen something and wondered how it's made? Do you think you might like a job taking a piece of raw material and turing it into a finished part? Would you take satisfaction in building a piece of equipment that manufacures products you see in stores? The MACWIC 1 course is an introduction to manufacturing technology and includes basic math, how to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, metrology and quality inspection skills related to the precision parts making process, workplace safety, and workplace readiness skills. All students will be eligible for the MACWIC Level 1 exam given at the end of this course. A passing score of 85% or more will guarantee your MACWIC 1 certificate. This course is a prerequisite for the MACWIC Level 2 class offered April 27-June 30, 2020.

This class is FREE to adults who:

1. Recently graduated from high school and need job training for manufacturing positions
2. Are currenlty in adult education classes to prepare for the GED or HiSet exams
