The beginner's workshop introduces yoga, fundamental principles of alignment, and breath work. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through the step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability with each pose. Foundational yoga poses practice proper alignment to promote flexibility to the body and are facilitated by hands-on adjustments. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals. If you have never tried yoga, this series is perfect for you and is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking continued understanding of basic yoga poses. Remember yoga is for everyone! you don't have to be flexible to begin.
