NEW students create an Adirondack chair while returning students create a project of their choosing such as a bookcase, end table, checkerboard, etc. Learn to safely and confidently operate stationary shop power tools to create a project of your choice. Topics include: shop safety, use of hand tools, project selection, scaled drawings and planning and project building. Learn Built-in techniques. There is individual guidance throughout all phases of the project completion. Students are responsible for supplying their own lumber and will need to bring a scale ruler, tape rule, pencil, note paper and safety glasses to each class. Some lumber may be available for purchase. Dress in appropriate shop apparel.
