This Sylvester Consultants, Inc. sponsored Emergency Medical Technician Program will start you on your new
path. This entry level training program is approximately 165 hours and designed to teach you how to conduct
emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment. This training course follows the National EMS
Education Standards and assists the student through the development of skills in symptom recognition,
emergency care procedures and techniques. Successful completion of the course will allow the student to be
considered eligible to take the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Certification exam and the National Registry
for Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written and psychomotor exam. You must be 18 years of age at
time of exam. You must be able to read, write and understand English. Textbooks, uniform shirt, CPR
certification and exam fees are INCLUDED in tuition. No refund after first night of class.
